Challenge #13

Hello everyone! Welcome to our 13th challenge here at Kids Can Scrap! We got so much positive feedback about our last challenge and the fact that you were able to work together with your parent, that we've decided to do something similar this time around. This month, your challenge is to "ScrapLift" your mom or whomever you scrap with. The term "scraplift" means to simply pick a favorite layout of your mom's and make one to look like it, use the same colors or designs, or maybe even take one thing about the layout and add that to yours. You may go through some of her more recent layouts or if you want to make it a team effort, you can scraplift her as she goes. This would let you work side-by-side on your projects.

Here is the layout Nessa chose of mine to scraplift:

And here is interpretation:

We can't wait to see what you guys come up with! Please send us both the picture or link of the layout you lifted as well as your layout. We want to see both!!!

Challenge #12

As you may have saw in the last post of the winner, we are a day late in announcing the next Challenge. We again want to apologize, but we were at the ER for a good bit of the day yesterday. Now that everything is fine, we want to tell you about this next challenge!

Nessa wanted to do another "team effort" challenge this month. You may remember doing this back in January when we brought you Challenge #4. We want you to create a layout along side of your mother or whoever it may be that you scrap with. Scrapbooking is such a wonderful hobby! Not only does it archive our memories in such a special way, but for us and I'm sure many of you too, Scrapbooking brings Nessa and I together and lets us spend great time together. She has a "scrap space" of her own right next to mine. There are many times that you will find us down here at the same time, both creating. Working together is so much fun and that's why we wanted to do this challenge once again.

Here are the rules: Moms are to start the layout. Just do something basic and then let your little scrapper finish the layout however he or she chooses to do so. For our example, I let Nessa pick which pictures she wanted to use and the papers. Then I got to work. This is what it looked like after I finished:
Nessa took what I had done and added a title, some embellishments and journaling. Here is her finished product:
We want to see what your "teams" can do now. Please be sure to take a picture of Mom's layout and then a picture of the final product and send both to us by August 31st. The winner and the mother will both win a fabulous prize from one of our many "Friends of Kids Can Scrap"!!! We can't wait to see what you create!!!
