Challenge #17

It's a new year and the beginning of a new decade! 2010! Doesn't that sound strange to say?! For this month's challenge, we want you to focus on the number "10". We want to see your layouts, cards, or other projects that incorporate the number 10 in it somehow. This can be a top ten list, a layout with 10 pictures, a 10th birthday card....whatever you can think of!

Nessa has made a few things to share with you. She loves American Girl dolls so she made a layout about her top ten AG desires. She also collected 10 "treasures" from her backyard. And here is one layout made my me (the mom) of Nessa who turned 10 just a few months ago:Remember, you have until January 31st to get your entries linked or emailed to us. We will randomly choose a winner and they will receive a prize pack that includes 10 special surprises!

Challenge #16 Winner!!!

Happy New Year!!! 2009 was an awesome year and we hope that 2010 will be even better for all of us! We want to thank everyone for your Christmas-themed entries! We are so pleased that many of our friends continue to come back each month and participate in our challenges. We are also very happy that some new faces have found our site! We hope you all will be back with us each and every month.

Nessa randomly selected a winner this morning and that winner is:

Mahlon-Age 11

Congrats Mahlon! Please email us your mailing address and we will get your prize mailed out to you!

Challenge #16

Wow, is it really already December??? You know what that means! "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas......." For this month's challenge, we want to see something, anything related to the holidays! It can be a layout, a card, any kind of craft or ornament! We just want to see what you can create to inspire all of us and get us in the Christmas Spirit!

We don't have a picture of Nessa's sample at the moment! She made a patriotic snowman out of clay for a school ornament contest and Mom didn't get a picture of it before it left the house. We'll post a picture as soon as we get it back!

We can't wait to see your creations! Get it to us by leaving a link in the comment section or by emailing us by December 31st and your name will be entered into a drawing for the My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas Pack!

Where Have We Been????

We know, We know....we have been bad and not updated as we should have. No good excuses. Nessa and I needed to have a talk about our blog and the future of it. We have really enjoyed creating Kids Can Scrap, having fun challenges, and seeing what all kinds of creations you can make. However, it sometimes is difficult to keep up the website along with all the other activities we have going on in our lives. We needed to decide whether or not we were going to commit to what we had set out to do in the first place....having a special place for kids who love to scrapbook.

Well, after much discussion, we have decided to continue! We really want to keep it going and hope that we have not lost any of our friends here because of our recent "laziness" when it comes to this site. We promise to do better and we want to get started right away!

Do you want to know what our big announcement is that we talked about in the last post? Kids Can Scrap is ONE YEAR OLD!!! We really wanted to have a fantastic celebration, but now I guess it will just have to be a belated birthday bash. I know that it is November 16th, but we'd like to go ahead and issue you a challenge for the month of November. We want you to show us how you celebrate your birthday! Any kind of birthday-related layout turned in by November 30 will not only get your name entered for a fantastic prize from one of our sponsors, but it will also win you a special birthday present from us at Kids Can Scrap! We look forward to seeing what you do! Here is one of Nessa's birthday layouts:
